You meet up with Dolgrin in the woods and see him meditating quietly at the base of a rather large and menacing darkwood tree.
What do you do?

I look at the pattern of ridges in the bark and the shape of the leaves to identify the tree. Then I will join him in meditation-trying to absorb all my surroundings- to become a part of my surroundings.

You can feel a light touch at the edge of your consciousness. The tree is asking your permission to talk.
Talk?

"You are not from these parts, how have you found yourselves in my woods dwarf?"

I'm here out of an earnest desire to learn and explore. I desire wisdom, to expand my horizons and understand my roots in this world. I also can sense something foreboding in the near future and am readying myself. Dolgrin made it clear the forest that I should seek out this forest in preparation for such an encounter.

There is a shadow on the horizon, we can feel it in the earth, a great change is coming that could alter the world. Not many can feel the ebbs and flows in the ether as you can, you must speak with my brethren deeper in the woods. Travel to the center and find the elder grove, there is much to speak of.
Travel by making directional cues [North, South, etc.], followed by a perception roll. Each section will be described after a perception roll and you can make choices based on what you see, hear, etc.
You are at the South-western edge of the forest.

You look around you and you and take in the forest for all its splendor. There are trees aplenty but nothing of note.

You find yourself further in the woods, the trees are clustered a little closer together.
One tree seems a little sickly and has some odd fungus growing on it.

You see more of the strange fungus on the trees in this section of the woods.
A pair of spiders descend from the tree tops and attack you.

Spider 1 goes down to a bolt between the eyes, while Spider 2 deals a glancing blow for 1.
