The Four embark on a trip to check on the farms on the outskirts of town.

As the four of you approach the farming settlement on the outside of town, you can smell burning in the air and wisps of smoke in the distance. The area has an unusual calm about it and you can hear non of the telltale sounds of an active farming community...
You are about 30 yards out and you can see no sign of activity or movement.
What do you do?

We should split up, but stay in earshot of each other. We can cover more ground that way, and if we find something we can all get there quickly. I propose two groups of two.

As you move forward, a flurry of arrows land right in front of your feet. From the tops of houses, 3 goblin archers train their bows at you.
From behind the first house a Goblin chief rides out on a warhound trailed by 4 goblins.
"We own food land now by right of conquest! We are keeping your peoples and your foods. You pay for food now. Report back to your ruler and bring us moneys. We eat farmers everyday no moneys."
What do you do?
